#GirlBoss Review

The book “#GirlBoss” was published in 2014. It was written by Sophia Amoruso, Founder and CEO of “Nasty Gal”. The book is about Sophia’s life and how she started “Nasty Gal”, and also about obtaining a dream and a suitable career path. This book is extremely recommended to women everywhere. It’s really helpful.

Sophia got up as a troubled child. Throughout her young adult life she’s been going through job after job. She was fired a few times. Most of the jobs that she’s been didn’t last her longest. She even shoplifts and was fined for that.

At the age of twenty-two Sophia started a business on EBay called “Nasty Gal Vintage”. “Nasty Gal” was established in 2006. It was named after singer and songwriter Betty Davis’s album. In 2008 thanks to her business and social media she earned more money. In 2013 Sophia was named Inc Magazine’s thirty under thirty list. As of today her business is however strong.

In the book “#GirlBoss” the book instructs you about being on a job like, interviews, resumes, etc. There’s also stories about other women who have a career. On top of that there’s even a #GirlBoss podcast. Being a #GirlBoss to me has the power of women being strong about themselves, especially finding a goal to achieve.
